PAINLESS ROOT CANAL TREATMENT IN A SINGLE VISIT
Root Canal Treatment in Hyderabad
No need to fear a Root Canal Treatment
Root canal treatment is probably the most misunderstood procedure in dentistry.
While many people view it as “scary”, the truth is that a root canal treatment is an effective treatment to stop pain and save your tooth.
What is Root Canal Treatment (RCT)?
Underneath the enamel and hard dentin surface of your tooth is a soft tissue called pulp which develops the tooth’s root while it’s growing and aids in nourishment of the tooth afterwards.
When a tooth becomes infected, it’s usually related to pulp which has nerves and blood vessels. The infected nerves have to be removed and the canals have to be filled with biocompatible material.
With the state of art and technology and years of experience, your root canal treatment will be easier and more comfortable than you thought at Dr. Charan’s Dental Care.
How do you know if you need a Root Canal Treatment?
Here are the few Signs and Symptoms:
- Spontaneous pain even you’re not eating.
- Extreme sensitivity to cold and hot foods.
- Pain wakes you up in the middle of the night.
- Darkening / discoloration of tooth or visibly broken/ cracked teeth.
- Recurrent swelling or tenderness of the gums.
- Tooth ache on biting and chewing.
So, if you’re unsure of any of the symptoms you are experiencing, schedule an appointment at Dr. Charan’s Dental Care.
In our clinic we will determine if a root canal treatment is necessary by examining the tooth, making X- rays and by doing a cold test. Then, we work to offer the best and most comprehensive care.
Ignoring the signs and symptoms would be detrimental to your oral health leading to increased pain and abscessed tooth.
During your Root Canal Treatment
- After full anesthesia is achieved, treatment will be completed in either one or two appointments based on the pulpal tissue status.
- We create an opening into the canals, remove the infected tissue, irrigate the root canals and then sealed with a biocompatible material.
- If your tooth is severely infected, we may opt for placing a medication in your canals for one or two weeks before completing the root canal treatment to ensure effective decontamination of the canals. Temporary cement is used in between the appointments to ensure that the area is sterile.
After your Root Canal Treatment
- You may experience similar pain that you had before treatment for about 1 to 2 days after the completion of treatment.
- You should avoid chewing on that side for couple of days or until tenderness is reduced. Permanent restoration will be given in the next appointment.
- It’s important to remember that teeth treated with root canals have a higher percentage of fracture and thus requiring a permanent crown over the tooth.
Benefits of Root Canal Treatment:
- Saving the natural tooth.
- Eliminates pain associated with infection
- Reduces tooth sensitivity.
- Restores normal biting and chewing abilities.
- Protects surrounding teeth from damage.
